20+ years ago In Design International Studio clients built their family home and they knew it was time to update.Aside the dated appearance of the home, key drivers for the renovation were centred around practicalities and how the family had grown. The guest room had become a study/ tuition room and the TV room was now more a gaming room and hang out for the 2 boys.The designer started at the front door and meticulously worked their way through the entire property mindful of assessing family heirlooms, sentimental possessions, and practical keepsakes to retain as part of the marvellous makeover.
The pièce de résistance, (as many parents will appreciate) was the opportunity to finally upgrade their own master bedroom, walk in robe and ensuite. “once you step off the hallway…it’s like stepping into a 5 star hotel!” Rich navy blue faux shagreen (shark skin) wallpaper and stunning pendant lights over the bespoke upholstered bedhead create an immediate mood swing from hectic day to relaxing ambience.
