Strong in design and large-scale in terms of degree of development project of the Aiya Design Studio. The room in the house, built in 1907 in the Ostozhenka district, required significant restoration, redevelopment and integration of modern interior and technological solutions. On an area of 200 m 2, at the request of customers, the designer designed two apartments: a large (approximately 150 m 2 ) for older family members and younger children and a studio apartment (50 m 2) for the eldest daughter, a student who is fond of creativity. Since over time the possibility of using the entire space as a whole cannot be ruled out, both apartments are made in the same style, decoration and materials overlap. The interior is built on a combination of classic decoration (with elements of the old Moscow and French style) and modern furniture, lighting and equipment. Enjoy a tour!!!! A young and modern couple had a dream in common: a country house that welcomed the lived stories, the references of the years of living in Barcelona, the paths of a debutante São Paulo registered by her grandfather, the family relics. The studio sought to harmonize the contrasts proposed by the couple’s history, between past and contemporary, between city and countryside. It resulted in an unusual mixture of graffiti inspired by the 19th century puppet theater, rustic furniture, carefully designed to match the dishes inherited from her grandmother, narratives of life that integrate with the environments that flow in a fluid way and connected to a dedicated curatorship that includes renowned artists and designers. Melina Romano Studio is a Design studio, based in São Paulo, that researches and develops Residential, Corporate and Hotel projects. Since 2007 they seek to interpret and represent. Sailor Sarah Andrews found and restored this cottage in Lettes Bay on Tasmania’s West Coast. Overlooking the water it’s a perfect serene hideaway filled with cozy corners and vintage objects. A traditional Tasmanian coastal ‘shack’ has been transformed into a soulful, storied waterfront retreat, perfect for cocooning couples or solo escapees. An extraordinary attention to detail is matched by an exquisite, painterly, and fabulously restorative setting on the wild west coast. The cottage is mainly wood from the inside which immediately gives a warm atmosphere and it’s decorated in neutral tones with the occasional green and mustard color touch. It’s a simple cottage but because it’s decorated so lovely it’s looks like the perfect place to unwind from daily life And the good news is that you can as well, rent it through the airbnb platform here!!!!
Nataša and Ingrid are twins. Their roots are in Croatia, where they grew up in a family of artists. They reflect this heritage in their everyday lives, which is best seen through their creativity and sense for the art and aesthetics. The second of their guest houses , presented here, is one of the 3 houses at the island of Lošinj, in a little town of Sveti Jakov (St. James). Stone houses, green terraces, stonewalls, olive plants and pastures, mark a return to the nature and to the iconic human aspiration to live in harmony with the Earth. Here, Nataša and Ingrid have meticulously built a destination for their guests and travellers. With a view to safeguard the authenticity of those ambients, they have refurbished their houses using the traditional architectural interpretation reflected in the use of authentic materials (stone and wood), which they have have bravely supplemented with contemporary…
Here is another tiny flat, just 20 square meters by Melina Romano Studio based in Brazil. The designer had searched its inspiration in modern contemporary style but also used strong colors in orange, shades of green and black. Projects like this make us think about the fact that space is something relative, because if the benchmark is how many experiences can fit within a space, this loft leaves nothing to be desired. In synergy with current concepts about living, it is fluid, integrated, functional and cozy. Highlight for the modular cabinets that provide dynamics to the space and also to the detail of the mixture between ceramic and burnt cement on the floor, a melting point between environments. Do you want to go to Madrid? Try to book yourself a tourist apartment for the weekend using the booking app of your choice … The first one in Malasaña with little terrace and the bar looks great, but that other one in Chamberí is also very cool and although smaller, its sofa-bed “will do” cause it´s just so stunning… For those who want to feel in Miami Beach without crossing the Atlantic, you have this one, in La Latina, filled with neon lights, “flamingoes” and all the pastels of art deco; for those of you who like to feel like English Lords, there is this other one, very close, entirely covered in chesterfield couches and antique bookcases…. This is how three apartments, designed by Egue y Seta, of almost identical surface ( 34m2 + 53m2 + 40m2 ), layout and located in the same building, ended up looking like…
