Roselind Wilson Design was appointed by the client to transform the 6,000 square foot, whitewashed apartment into an elegant residence suitable for three generations of his family and harmoniously marry the family’s varied design tastes to deliver a truly unique and individual London apartment. Palace Court is a luxurious lateral penthouse in Bayswater that comprises three apartments joined into one, all with stunning views towards Hyde Park.

The brief specified a central entertainment area, including the living room, dining room, kitchen, utility room and guest bathroom, bedrooms and en-suite family bathrooms, as well as a room specifically designed as a sleeping and family room for the family dog. Within the apartment are also separate wings specified for media and wine rooms. The right wing of the property was to include a gentleman’s study, and a master suite comprising master bedroom and en-suite, his and her dressing rooms and a fur room. The result is a glittering example of contemporary design – a stylish and sophisticated pied-a-terre with design details that appeal to different generations. The designer was announced as a finalist for Bathroom Designer for the Palace Court  project in the Homes & Gardens Designer Awards 2014.
