This Victorian home has been reconfigured internally and redesigned by Atelier Ochre to suit the needs of a growing family in East London. Sensitive to natural and textural materials with touches of bright colour tones, the client’s brief was to embrace the existing features of the building, while adding a contemporary contrast to the interiors which reflects their lifestyle and funky artwork collection.

The ground floor period reading room has been opened up to the kitchen and dining spaces which are facing the lush garden. The kitchen has been fully redesigned with a veiny marble countertop and an oversized breakfast dining banquette has been created to host festive dinners and family gathering. The live edge solid timber dining table from Forest to Home paired with the iconic Wishbone chairs from Carl Hansen was a must have of the client which we balances with the marine blue joinery and lush planting.

On the first floor, the family bathroom has been increased in size by reconfiguring the circulation spaces around it and redesigned with elegant and bright finishes.
