A very classy and tasteful two-room apartment in the popular Northern Towers area in Stockholm, presented by estate agency Fantastic Frank . Fantastic Frank is a real estate agency with a passion for great photography, great service and great business. Their focus on design, emotional and visual communication and clever marketing challenge a rectified industry. The interiors of this apartment are designed in a simple modern style with minimalistic decor, but the cold asceticism of the space was diluted with a pleasant warm color scheme. Exclusive material choices have been also made in both kitchen and bathroom. The stylish bathroom has been provided with natural stone and specially designed lighting. The side to side window with the impressive view is definitely the most interesting spot in the house.
Brooklyn brownstone renovation creative couple Lyndsay and Fitzhugh Karol’ s newest project, a 6,000 square foot 5-story brownstone in Brooklyn Heights at 81 Pierrepont, has been meticulously renovated by their family run company The Brooklyn Home Company, a boutique design/development firm run by Lyndsay and her brother Bill Caleo. Lyndsay designed the interiors in collaboration with artist and her husband Fitzhugh Karol. They wanted to honor the historic bones of this 1845 Greek Revival townhouse while bringing in the liveliness and color of the Brooklyn art scene happening outside of its doors now. They lovingly restored original details like the crown molding and arched doorways, but one main focus was to modernize. They opened up the first floor to its full 25-foot-width, and added intrigue via a sculptural banister, mirrors, and custom furniture pieces created by sculptor Fitzhugh Karol and Philadelphia studio BDDW. The six-bedroom home has three exposures of…
Located in a small valley of the Vallès region in Catalonia, this farmhouse was reborn a few years ago with the construction of a horse stable linked to the property. The starting point for the new grand renovation was a three-floor building with an austere structure, following the lower height buildings added throughout the time around it. Besides wanting to give a new use to them, the main challenge has been to create a dialogue amongst themselves, finally acting as a group and not as the independent buildings they once were. To reconnect them, a large metal pergola, in an anthracite gray finish, embraces both the front and the back of the house, and its annexes. Bohemian interiors and furniture of the 19th century gave way to minimalism, dark colors and wood. Not only the main three-storey house, but also the adjacent annex, underwent alteration. In the interior design, bright…
Although the large total area of this house in Connecticut made it possible to have furniture and accessories of a big size, however, rooms here are not overloaded with interior items, which, in turn, allows to leave more of air and open space. One of the dining areas is interestingly decorated: a sofa lies along the windows in a semicircle, and there is a snow-white oval table in front of it – this arrangement looks fresh and cozy. I also love the wallpaper in the kids’ rooms and the stunning bathrooms. A very good example of a modern, yet elegant home, for a family with children! This project was implemented by studiodb.com which is a Manhattan based design firm headed by partners Damian and Britt Zunino, who bring their diverse backgrounds together to offer varying perspectives and approaches to design. Completely beige interior – what could be more boring and banal, many of us would say. But Scandinavian designers recently are trying to rethink this shade in design, showing it in a fresh and more favorable way. In this Goteborg apartment , we can see a beautiful classic stucco molding, a small fragment of a brick wall, as well as a typical Scandinavian decor – and for such a mix, the designers chose a nice beige shade of wall paint. We can say that it turned out simply awesome – the home is delighting the eye and radiates coziness!
Traditionally French herringbone parquet and stucco moldings in this Paris apartment were complemented with the furniture of noble shades and various textures of marble. The living room features an amazing combination of brown, blue and mint, and a magnificent wall with gray flora wallpaper completes the image of the room. The kitchen here is very minimalist: there are a lot of open surfaces and almost no appliances – that means the owners are not used to cooking often. The hallway is decorated with a gorgeous console made of green marble, which is also seen in the bedroom, dressing room, and in the bathroom (floor, sink and shower). True French chic for modern living!
The owners of this apartment in New York’s East Village asked the designer Ashlie Broderic to combine minimalism and industrial touches in the interiors of their home. The space turned out to be very geometric: starting from square windows and a fireplace zone and ending with cushion prints and slender rows of logs. Ashlie tried to soften such severity with the help of a very pleasant color scheme: milky, beige and light gray in combination with black and peach-red accents. One of these accents were brick walls that refer us to the loft style. The bedroom also turned out to be beautiful and delicate – a real corner of harmony and coziness.
This stunning residence on the island of Nantucket in Massachusetts is the perfect embodiment of the American dream of a holiday home. Firstly, it has an amazing location on the famous resort island just a few hours from New York, with beautiful views of the bay. Secondly, the design – the interiors are light and bright, but at the same time refined and decorated with sophisticated taste. Thirdly, the territory – a swimming pool, verandas and terraces. In such a wonderful place you want time to stop!
When the children in the owner’s family grew up and there was a catastrophic lack of space in the main house, a very successful decision was made, as it turned out – to reconstruct the old barn in the neighborhood and make it an additional guest house. Now this beautiful and incredibly cozy stone pavilion is a favorite pastime of not only the younger generation. Large windows, modern stylish furniture against the backdrop of stone walls, warm colors… Amazing!
