Ekaterina Fedorova’s main task was to create a house in which time stood still as if it were inherited from generation to generation. So, in that house in Dmitrovskoe in Moscow, the interior was created for a family with two children. The main areas are located on the ground floor: a kitchen, a dining room in which the family gathers at a large dining table and a living room with a fireplace, where a welcoming hostess receives guests. Also on the ground floor there is the owner’s office. On the second floor there are private rooms: the main bedroom, a children’s room, a guest bedroom and a bathroom. From the second floor you can exit to the terrace, which is a large balcony. Every autumn, leaves from trees fall picturesquely there. There is also a ground floor. It houses a wine cellar, where inaddition to wine, the hostess stores her blanks…

An office space – an apartment without either bathrooms, kitchen or storage – the former head office of a fashion brand in the center of Stockholm and a client that hoped to transform it into a home. Traces of the old 19th century splendour were there, but all those beautiful, old characteristics were painted in thick layers of white color with modern spotlights in all ceilings, which reinforced the feeling of an impersonal office. A color palette based on original colours, three expressive tiled ovens, decorations in ceilings and carpentry and an original pattern from a floor – these old traits and peculiarities were the clues that Note Design Studio needed to take a white office space into a contemporary direction. The result is a harmonious but rich color experience – inspired by the original splendour – and a new home for their client and his children. Photography : Note Design…

Privately situated on a sloping hill in the Tuscan countryside, Casa Morelli is an attractive holiday home with an authentic character. Originally built in the 15th century in a classic Tuscan style, it was recently renovated by the most passionate craftsmen, integrating perfectly a modern and minimalist design into the traditional structure.Don’t expect a trendy interior but a sustainable style with a courageous design characterized by robust handmade wooden furniture, local ceramics, and selected decorations and paintings that together form a harmonious whole. Everything is designed to add coziness and immerse guests in the atmosphere of the time when in the evenings only candles and the setting sun lit the house. But still, the main character in any Tuscan house is the view from the windows. Cypress trees and hills buried in the vineyards – just a fairy tale!

Egue y seta studio consists of a team ” with a sharp eye and big ears!” Architects and engineers along with graphic, industrial and of course, interior designers, they all design mainly with their ears. At EGUE Y SETA they approach every project with the certainty that clients do know what they need, like and consider aesthetically pleasing. Here, at the following project, the clients wanted to concentrate all comfort features and special amenities of their new home within a generously sized – double height, mixed use area to be devoted to entertainment, relaxation, play, reading, painting, music, guitar playing and guests hosting. Let’s climb the stairs and take a look in to this redefined super-attic: a former storage room turned into family-hub. The new heart and center of the home relocated at new (greater) heights! An elegant apartment in the heart of Turin by Officina8a, overlooking one of its most significant squares. The plan exploited only 2/3 of the available potential: a systematic and surgical operation of nakedness brought to light fantastic ceilings with a height of 4,60 mt. The frescoes, previously suffocated by the false ceiling, have been brought back to light. The warmth of the wood and the chromatic explosion of the ceilings are contrasted by the green Alps of marble that covers the custom-designed furnishings, for example in the kitchen counter. The project in its entirety is rather to be understood as an amusing game in which the building site has been the result of a continuous evolution, in which the architect finds the confused traces of the past and re-educates them to today’s needs. Officina8a is an architectural studio focused on design, sustainability, restoration, enhancement, interior design, photography, procedures, and enterprise. They are involved…

Nicky Dobree’s chalet in Switzerland sparked our imagination; whether you live in a snowy alpine resort or in the centre of a city, the chalet look is always hot. The designer’s look here is cosy and classic and breaks the mould of a traditional lodge; her style crosses townhouse elegance with winter chic.  British, award-winning designer Nicky Dobree specialises in luxury ski chalets, villas, and contemporary residential interiors. Concerning this particular project, Nicky says :”I drew much of my inspiration from these life enhancing views – the shimmering lake, the dense green woodland, and the snow-capped mountains beyond. Enlisting an army of talented German craftsmen we sourced the finest quality natural materials – timber, stone, leather, copper and glass to design a chalet with a twist. Clever lighting and inventive techniques brought all these raw materials to life. On the exterior I softened the brutality by cladding parts in timber and using the traditional sgaffito…
