Kim Lambert Design is a full-service interior design studio based in Toronto specializing in high-end, customized interior spaces. This Apartment project, designed by DROO Studio, draws on inspiration from the Danish Painter Hommershoi, as foreground and background merge through singular framed views through an enfilade of rooms. A subdued palette of dark and light hues , natural concrete walls, leathered zimbabwe granite sit against the pale tones of birch wood and the highly ornate panelling and restored marble fireplaces to create subtle juxtapositions of time and light. This project by Konstantin Kildinov, embodies the ideas of modern interior. Here they used decorative plaster smooth stone on the walls, stylish furniture made of thin sheet metal of their own design and production, and magnetic track lighting systems on the ceiling. The bedroom walls are of veneer panels under the extension of natural veneer, designed and produced by the studio and Italian ceramogranite seamogranite tiles with imitation of rusty metal. The bathroom is located behind the glass tinted sliding system and wardrobe. The sliding system consists of a thin German profile and tinted glass; the system is self-winding, openwork and light. There are two zones in the bathroom, a bathroom and a shower. On the walls of the bathroom there are Italian seamless porcelain tiles, grated and crushed. This iconic Austin residence was first built in 1938 as a modern, art deco home that emulated a 1930s ocean-liner, with aluminum railings, porthole windows, a solarium with a curved glass wall, and a circular mahogany door that could be raised and lowered at the touch of a button. After purchasing the home in 2013, the new owners selected DC+A to make major updates to the home.The architects added a new two-story addition to the house, nearly doubling the square footage. What is most impressive about this renovation is the mastery of the architecture team in preserving the character of the home throughout these changes.The seamlessness is truly exceptional, and this is evident in that it is incredibly difficult to differentiate the old from the new in the finished project. After discovering a former Brillo Pad factory that had been converted into lofts, a young family of four fell in love with the wide-open spaces and expansive ceiling heights, but struggled to find a warm, comfortable ambience and strike a balance with the raw industrial features. Chango & Co Studio started by replacing the bright white lacquer and stainless steel kitchen cabinetry with textured cerused oak and honed white stone. Then they broke apart the large living space to create a custom dining nook and more intimate living room, and turned the formal dining area into a spacious play area for the two young children. Classic silhouettes draped in neutral, kid-friendly fabrics worked to establish an effortless and enjoyable day-to-day, while large-scale artwork, unique lighting fixtures, and a coat of bright white paint against the exposed brick brought a light, inviting aura to each of the bedrooms.

With a high and quiet location overlooking Villastan’s lush farms lies this well-planned and continuous turn of the century apartment by Wrede. Here are preserved fine original details in the form of stucco, three working tile ovens and classic joinery. Large living room with lovely ceiling height, tiled stove, south facing windows and exit to balcony with sun from morning to evening. Adjacent to the living room is a smaller bedroom. A serving aisle with preserved original cabinets leads into the lovely, spacious kitchen. There is room for large dinners and the classic kitchen interior has marble countertops. The entire floor has bright plank floors, high floor bases and a nice atmosphere. Have a look!!!!

This project by Contacto Atlantico took place in one Guia Casa-Mãe in Cascais. The house, developed mostly on the ground floor on a vast plot of land, was characterized by the rustic and simple architecture of the small houses of of the 20th century. This intervention was done in all divisions of the house as well as in the outdoor spaces. The principal objective was to offer spaces that, through small changes, would serve modern domestic activities without losing the identity of the house.The main interventions took place in the kitchen, in the bathrooms, and in the north wing of the house, which include the swimming pool area, through the use of rustic materials, the restructuration of spaces, the installation of new equipment, and the recovery of some original equipment of the house.The intervention created a perfect harmony between the pure and original construction and the modern way of living.…

River House is a 1,200 square meters construction designed in a wooded area of Valle de Bravo by L G Architecture Studio. This project is composed of two spaces, one private and one open divided by a river that starts at the main entrance and surrounds the entire house. The designer divided the two volumes by an artificial river fed by a natural one that borders practically all the land. It is built with steel beams that allow wide spaces without columns, large windows and double-height ceilings. A steel and glass bridge connects the two volumes and allows views of the natural surroundings and the architecture of the house. On the access level, through a large door, a wall leads us to the interior living room and the dining room.
