This building on the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam, was completely renovated and adapted by Studiojvz to the wishes of the times on behalf of the new owners – an enterprising couple with a focus on foreign countries.Van Zwetselaar’s design DNA is clear: he likes the contrast between old and new, in order to balance history and future with each other. He likes to use the word heritage to indicate where his heart lies.
The house consists of a front, a back and a garden house and the first stone was laid in the seventeenth century. It was a house full of asymmetry, very disjointed and everything was out of balance but the studio made it a whole again. Enjoy the virtual tour!!!!
