Christmas starts earlier with Danish stylist and ‘Nybyggerne’ judge Mette Helena Rasmussen than with most others. A lot actually. And it also lasts longer. This applies both when she styles Christmas pictures for companies and magazines, and at home in the apartment, where she and the children, Villa and Johs, decorate everywhere.

Mette Helena has lived in the apartment since 2014. When she took over, it was an estate, and therefore the 156 square meters have been continuously renovated. The result is a cozy mix of colors, fun objects, designs, homemade solutions and not least impressive picture walls in different shapes, color schemes and sizes that are constantly changing. Mette Helena is originally a trained visual artist, has been collecting art for almost 20 years, and new works are constantly being added. Few of Mette Helena’s works of art and furniture have cost anything special, because just like when it comes to Christmas decorations, she loves to go looking for used things at auction sites, in thrift stores and at flea markets.
