Mazzini 31 is a private retreat designed for travelers seeking to rest, to explore, and to enjoy the beauty of the area. The home is located in the heart of the town of Monteleone d’Orvieto inside a medieval palazzo that was modified over four centuries and became an elegant noble residence in the 1800’s: Its second floor complete with a beautiful terrace, the vaulted stables and underground caves that were used to store local wine and olive oil production, became “Mazzini 31” in 2012 after the owners purchased it in a state of disrepair. During the process of renovation the owners discovered its inner beauty as they stripped away layers of wallpaper, paint and plaster to reveal an enchanting combination of wall and ceiling frescoes which span four centuries. With love and passion they infused this noble treasure trove with elements of luxurious modern design that transformed it into a…

The residence is a simple gable form with a flat roof extension shielding the building entry, and covering an exterior deck area. The gable is oriented to true south overlooking the pond. The material palette includes rusted corten standing seam roof and wall panels, with a blackened cedar at the exposed structure and gable ends. You can book this gorgeous cabin here!!!!

40 Winks is based in hip and trendy East London. The house has a very glamorous history. For more than a decade, it was one of London’s most popular fashion and celebrity locations, playing host to hundreds of major advertising campaigns and high profile editorial shoots. So many photographers, stylists and models kept asking if they could stay there that they came up with the idea of ’40 Winks’. A whimsical mashup of decor that’s equal parts Jane Austen, Lewis Carroll, and Frida Kahlo, 40 Winks is a tiny boutique property in rapidly gentrifying East London that’s a flight of pure fancy. The three-pearl property has just two rooms, and their bath is shared. There’s also no in-room TVs. Despite its bijou size, it has achieved an almost mythical status since guests find much more entertainment in the elegant 18th-century interiors. Take a tour then!!!! Photography : Linnéa Hurtig

This villa for rent in Spain is the oldest preserved dwelling in the small Iberian town of Villalba de los Barros. Built in the late 18th century, it originally belonged to one of the many families of “hidalgos” who settled in the south of Extremadura. Through the beginning of the 20th century it was home to several noble families until 1946, when it became union headquarters for the Farmers and Cattlemen of Villalba. Bought by a local family and carefully restored by Madrid-based studio Lucas y Hernández-Gil, the villa’s graceful features and rural character recall the essence of the Extremaduran manor houses of the past. A protected Cultural Heritage landmark, the renovations were designed to preserve the building’s distinctive elements, including the ornate façade and doors, vaulted ceilings, and the handcrafted tiles and materials used. Located in the central square, this historic gem is a unique part of the region’s heritage and welcoming hospitality. You…

Villa Mongibello is a wonderful modern house with a family history in San Pellegrino, Umbria. Mongibello means ‘beautiful hill’ which, given its verdant setting on the edge of an oak forest, is perfectly apt. The nearest village, San Pellegrino, is only a few minutes’ drive away and numerous Umbrian highlights are within easy reach of the property. In 2016 the owners finished the building of this unique villa, which was once the land of their grandparents. The house is set among pristine hills on the edge of an oak forest. In renovating the house, the owners managed to create a powerful space which combines nature, peace, modern design and creativity. Thanks to the talent of architect Pia Karin Spreafico the ancient stones of the former farmhouse were used to create  an external shell within which a new structure in concrete was created. The hand of the Italian/Scandinavian architect is clearly…

Godney Arts House is a Somerset farmhouse set in the tranquil Somerset Levels, 3 hours from London. It is combining Georgian period features with uber cool and quirky décor, original pieces of artwork & restored, retro furniture. Godney in rural Somerset is a tranquil village with dark night skies and award winning village pub. The basis of the interior design is a combination of white, gray, all shades of red since such tones are so attractive, very unusual and stylish. Interior designers carefully preserved all the old elements, restored the furniture and added the house with new, but no less authentic, details. Especially I liked the copper table, the bath on the legs and the cozy area near the fireplace. A great place for a weekend with family and friends! You can book your holiday here !!!!

The concept of co-living has become “the new choice for non-resident entrepreneurs in the City by the Bay. Co-living provides community and network. And with how crazy San Francisco is about startups, co-living spaces have become a sort of boot camp for foreign entrepreneurs, where everything is built to prioritize productivity and social activity,” as the balbek bureau’s client, describes it. Before everything else, the designers wanted their project to convey the spirit of San Francisco; they wanted it to look like a natural extension of its neighborhood – colorful, creative, fun. So they started by compiling a color palette of the project’s immediate surroundings. They mixed and matched, and integrated these colors into the spaces throughout the co-living areas, creating seemingly effortless and natural combinations between the indoors and outdoors. So, next time you visit San Francisco make a wise choice and book a room here….
