In Gothenburg we find this well-planned and tastefully renovated apartment by Stadshem with developed board floors and preserved original details such as mirror doors, roof rosettes, stucco and high foot moldings. The generous ceiling height creates an airy atmosphere, and the tall windows in deep niches fill the apartment with light. The living room and the bedroom, both spacious and lightly furnished, are on file with great views away to the vegetable market square and Liseberg. In the kitchen, with plenty of room for a dining table, fully glazed balcony doors lead out to a balcony with many lovely sunshine hours. Enjoy it!!!!

In this project za bor signature style is formed by numerous details. Handwriting of architects Pyotr Zaitsev and Arseniy Borisenko can not be confused with anyone: tireless experiments with volumes and form continued in the interior of the house in the Moscow region. A fireplace in the living room is remarkable — firebox, and chimney form a single structure. Actually the metal sheet looks just like paper – thin, weightless, folded into an elegant figure … It is hard to immediately guess that this white “serpent” origami coming down from the ceiling is actually a fireplace, until the logs begin to crack comfortably in the firebox. The main material is painted white metal refractory paint in as plaster would not withstand high temperatures. Another important feature in this project is a convenient space. All elements are organized to be as comfortable as possible. At the same time, the studio’s task…

A very bright and pleasant second floor apartment presented by Wrede, only 46 square meters, in Stockholm. The apartment was completely renovated in 2018 with classy, well thought out and exclusive material choices. The principle of minimalism in this residence is felt in everything, and firstly in its color palette in black and white with few color accents . But despite minimalistic style it is decorated with taste: contrasting black kitchen with a marble island, herringbone parquet, laconic wall moldings….

Located on the ground floor of a significant building —La Finca Roja— in the city of Valencia (Spain) and taking some of the building’s most notable features, such as the red brick and the various mosaic tiles that shape the floor, the first part of Francesc Rife Studio’s work was to preserve the raw essence of the space. Secondly, the black-stained poplar wood unfolds and expands in the interior void as a discrete and neutral material. The impartiality of this color contributes to the fact that any historical evidence is remarkable, either the tiles that covered the fireplace, the ceilings, or the “wounds” that the previous distributions have left and allow to read on the floor the multitude of rooms that the house originally hosted. La Finca Roja: Built by the architect Enrique Viedma in 1929, this emblematic residential building takes the identity of Dutch expressionism. The outstanding use of…

Situated in the island of Syros, Syros I summerhouse by block722 Studio, hosts a couple and their guests. The design process was defined by the clients’ desire to maximize the view of the Plagia bay. The main intention was to unify the various spaces of the house under one roof facing the Aegean, without creating a massive volume, thus resulting in a deconstructed rectangle with massive openings from all sides. The entrance is situated in the back, following a gentle descent through continuous miniature courtyards, planted with local aro- matic herbs. The main volume houses the common areas, whereas the slightly higher volume covered in local masonry houses the couple’s private area The four guesthouses are situated in opposing parts of the site, gaining distinct characteristics: the ones closer to the house are intended for close friends and visitors whereas the ones under the master bedroom enjoy a private entrance…

This house, designed by architect Baltazar Sanchez , is situated on a hill located on a kind of island that visually delimits the sea on all its fronts. In accordance with the requirements of the client, the location and the environment, it was decided to use materials and technology from the zone. The typology of the barn was chosen as an architectural reference. The programmatic challenge was to get a 400-square meters single-family home to function as much as when it was occupied by the entire family, as when the homeowners were alone. The owner was particularly concerned with the acoustic insulation of the rooms, so interior patios were proposed to separate the rooms from each other and from common places. This configuration allowed the reestablishment of an existing orchard on the site. The windows and openings were determined by the environment and the program. The skylight of the dining…

The Studio operates globally, with projects in New York, Paris and London, reinventing existing spaces and creating new ones. Johnson’s interiors are a blend of classic pieces with obscure highlights and a focus on comfort, function, timelessness but most importantly the feel.
