The beautiful green walls in the living room create a feeling of calmness – the designers managed to choose a very original and unbroken shade, which also looks attractive and stylish with white details. A beautiful light wooden floor runs through the entire apartment – a beautiful detail which characterizes most Scandinavian apartments. Enjoy it!!! The project involved the refurbishment of a Grade II Listed maisonette in Marylebone by Trellik Design Studio, for a well travelled couple with a vast collection of traditional and contemporary African art. Strong and vibrant colours were added throughout the interior on the walls, joinery and furniture to bring a fresh and contemporary edge to the traditional architectural setting. A large open shelves joinery item was designed as a feature of the main living space to accommodate and display the eclectic collection of artefacts whilst acting as a study and storage unit at low level. The niches reveal a selection of different painted background to add playfulness and accent of colours to the interior. In a charming wooden house from the early 1930s, built in the 1920s classicist style according to drawings by architect Oscar Gerle, we find this nice second with a round, light and airy floor plan. Thanks to windows in opposite directions, the sun shines in from morning to evening. The floor plan creates a pleasant sense of community while you can close yourself with the nice mirrored doors. The two rooms are lined with a quiet street, and from the kitchen you look out towards the association’s lush garden. The apartment has consistently developed wooden floors and the preserved original carpentry – mirrored doors, wall board, ceiling rosettes, ceiling moldings and high baseboards – provide a beautiful setting. Enjoy it!!!! See also :https://house-diaries.com/an-impressive-turn-of-the-century-apartment/
