Luckily for us every week there are new beautiful homes to look at because Swedish real estate agents style their homes to perfection. You are welcomed into a state-of-the-art apartment then, by entrancemakleri, of just 51 Sq m, with a studio feel, striking ceiling height and sober bright surface layers. Immediately you are greeted by the lovely light from three large window areas towards the quiet courtyard and below the stairs there is space for hanging jackets and shoes. A little further into the apartment is reached an inner hall with space for desk and dresser as well as additional storage in wardrobe and cleaning cupboards. Smart solutions and thoughtful material choices continue to characterize this apartment as well as the social openness and generous ceiling height up to the nock. Enjoy it!!!!
An introvert garden surrounds this extroverted building: the continuous window walls unify the interior with the exterior, in a way that the garden intrudes into the living space. The swimming pool expands until the edge of the window walls. From the exterior, the apartment looks like floating on the water. The open plot ground floor is paved with wood. The custom made pendulous iron fire place, designed by the architect, permits see-through views from the living-room towards the swimming pool. The award-winner practice Mastrominas Architecture, provides hospitality and residential design. The studio’s principles are fine modern design, optimum functional arrangement of spaces, adaptation to the local spatial and cultural characteristics, different approach-concept for every project, landscape adjustment and embed into the fundamentals of traditional Greek architecture, aiming to create cosy and relaxing spaces with outstanding ambience. Founded in 2012, SDH Studio is an award-winning architecture and interior design practice led by Stephanie Halfen. Their main focus is the design of luxury custom homes for owners and developers in Miami and the Caribean. In recent years, their practice has expanded to include the design of commercial projects such as office buildings, restaurants, retail, and office spaces. Set on a narrow radial lot in Golden Beach, the architectural intent of this home was to maximize outdoor living areas while respecting a detailed program for the interior of the home. Overlapping volumes cantilever over the landscape to create opportunities for outdoor entertaining. The project was in collaboration with Oona Architecture. Argentina.
Here is another project by Ekaterina Fedorova but this time of a contemporary style. The apartment (90 Sq m) is located in the old center of Moscow in the area of Patriarch’s Ponds. The house itself was built in 1911. The only original element preserved by the designer from those times was brickwork and that was painted white and harmoniously blended into the updated interiors. The apartment consists of a common living room, dining room and kitchen and two bedrooms: master bedroom and guest bedroom. From the master bedroom you can get into the master bathroom. The guest bathroom is located immediately at the entrance to the apartment. The apartment was made for a couple and the main concept is a light, minimalist interior with bright inclusions of furniture in a palette of red and blue shades with black lights adding graphics to the space. Vintage pieces of furniture such…

Godney Arts House is a Somerset farmhouse set in the tranquil Somerset Levels, 3 hours from London. It is combining Georgian period features with uber cool and quirky décor, original pieces of artwork & restored, retro furniture. Godney in rural Somerset is a tranquil village with dark night skies and award winning village pub. The basis of the interior design is a combination of white, gray, all shades of red since such tones are so attractive, very unusual and stylish. Interior designers carefully preserved all the old elements, restored the furniture and added the house with new, but no less authentic, details. Especially I liked the copper table, the bath on the legs and the cozy area near the fireplace. A great place for a weekend with family and friends! You can book your holiday here !!!!
Architects Marina Biryukova and Elizaveta Golubtsova from the BIGO bureau built a Scandinavian-style holiday home and added purple, which the customer loves. In this house, two walls are completely made of glass, in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright, while it is located so that none of the neighbors can see what is happening inside, and the owners can see only hills, forest, sky. Architects are sure that in low-rise buildings it is especially important to carefully consider the concept, layout and facade, then the interior will literally add up by itself. Elizabeth says: “We came up with a house almost entirely of glass. Its roof goes into the back wall, which we decided to emphasize with the interior decoration, placing the lining horizontally and not vertically, like on everyone else. ” Architects have proven that even a budget project can be fashionable if the author has a fantasy and a sense…
Burls are highly figured, natural deformities typically removed from the trunks of trees and discarded before the wood is sawn into lumber. When seen through the eyes of a craftsman, however, such castoffs can become functional works of art. The prototype Kerf Table set is one such example of beauty borne from nature’s anomalies. Each of the ten limited edition tables is created from a slice of a single intact burl that Design Principal Alan Maskin recovered from a Port Townsend, Washington lumberyard. Each unique tabletop highlights the twists and turns of the burl’s raw edge. Kerf cuts create barely-there slots for metal plates, forming the connection for three forged and welded steel legs fabricated by Anvil House in Seattle. The surface of the tables features a hand-rubbed oil finish by Seattle furniture artisan Steve Clark. Maskin designed the tables to be intentionally versatile; appropriate in groups or singularly, in…
Set among mature redwoods, this classic timber modified A-frame was built in 1974 and renovated by Studio PLOW to bring it into the contemporary era.The gut renovation left the shell mostly intact, but opened the rear of the cabin to the light with asymmetric glazing. Extraneous interior walls and finishes were demolished and stripped out, to leave a bright white space with light oak flooring that maximizes the forest’s limited direct sunlight. Inside this, a dramatic floor-to-ceiling, black, stone-tiled hearth and new kitchen with blackened steel work surfaces now define warm gathering places within the plan. Instead of the typical rustic interiors that we can usually see in such homes, the designers chose a rather stylish minimalistic design in black and white with a chic stone table, modern fireplace and glass walls.
